Perfect for those who are way too busy!

I am a physician, business owner, and father to an energetic 5 year old. Needless to say, finding time to go work out is almost impossible. I've tried various video work outs like P90X and Insanity, but the fact I need to commit a full 30-60 minute of time is just too challenging given other priorities. And no, I do not waste time on TV (don't have cable) or games (will continue to reject invites for candy crush). So without time, how do I get to the level of health I often preach to my own patients? So when I saw One Minute Work out, I was intrigued. I didn't think it was possible to get in shape by doing only 1 minute exercised randomly throughout the day. But after 2 weeks of doing 1 minute ab exercises about 4-5 times a day during phone calls or while playing with my son, I got rid of the little belly fat I have been trying to get rid of for a year! The book really does a great job letting you pick and choose what parts of your body you want to target. The exercises are gradual, so you are not going to injury yourself trying to do something you haven't done since 30 years ago. The explanations of what each type of exercise can do for you is quite accurate medically, and easy to understand. That understanding, combined with the app (yes, there is one!) really helped! So if you only have 1 minute here and there, then this is the exercise program for you!

The one minute makes is accessible and easy to keep up

I've been doing the exercises in this book for about 3 months and its really made a difference. I work fairly long hours in finance and on most days it tough for me to find the time and motivation to go to the gym. The beauty of the exercises in this book is that I can do them in the office conference room. The one minute makes is accessible and easy to keep up, and its help keep me in much better shape in days between the gym and I can feel that drop off isn't as high as it used to be.

Skeptical at first, but it really works

I exercise regularly and the title of the book made me a little skeptical at first. I'm always open to new workout methodologies, though, so I decided to give it a try.
For starters, the workout really *is* just one minute per day. That will sound silly up until the moment when you try one of the exercises---they're extremely intense, to the point that 60 seconds is a real challenge. In spite of the intensity level, the workouts are quite accessible. The exercises are organized into "progressions" that start with a very simple and easy version, and scale up through several iterations into incredible gymnastics-type exercises. No special exercise equipment is required.
Each day you do a different exercise, so there's lots of variety. The book also provides some basic exercise rotations, as well as specialized rotations for working on particular weak spots.
The workout is also well-designed from a behavioral/motivational perspective. No matter how busy you are it's easy to carve out 60 seconds somewhere in your day, and it's easy to stay motivated by tracking your progress (i.e., how long you can do the exercise without breaking).
