If you are using it for the NBME exams you're probably better off using Case Files instead

It is a bit lengthy. If you are using it for the NBME exams you're probably better off using Case Files instead. I worked 8-6 in my rotation and didn't have a great amount of time to study so I was not able to get through this book completely. Case files does a much better job in pointing out the important things.

Great for quick clinical reference!

Each chapter is very short and gives you a brief overview of every aspect of the given topic (pathophys., treatment. Etc.). This series assumes that you know lots about these topics before you open the book, so it may mention something that you haven't heard or thought about in a very long time with no refresher information at all. Good quick reference book. Don't use this as a primary source for learning!

It covers probably 75-80% of what you might need for the FM shelf, but some of the sections just aren't detailed enough. The questions are the best part of the book.
